January 2012

Reiah and I went to Eugene (almost on the Oregon coast) so she could sing with some other Heppner kids in an Honor Choir. She had a lot of fun, and did a great job. I had fun lounging around in my hotel room while she went to all her practices.

No school (because of treacherous roads) and a decent amount of snow was a lot of fun for a day. The other three days without school were just rainy and icy.

A video of each of the kids in their Christmas concert. Leo did band this year and was part of the percussion. He played bass drum and snare drum, but his signature instrument was the xylophone which he is playing in the video. Reiah is a member of honor band and the video is a short solo of hers. She goes to a state competition in January in Portland.

Roen-Fall 2011

Roen loves school but also loves to come home and play. These are pictures of the weekend days when Reiah and Leo didn't have sports, homework, piano, etc. and they could actually play together. Roen started piano this year and even got to play a little flag football.

Scarecrow cat

We had some good grapes and even made grapejuice. We also had a lot of corn and potatoes. Yum! Not sure what the cat was doing but it was cute.

Leo-Fall 2011

Leo really enjoyed football. The one problem was that his team was too big so he didn't get enough playing time. He had some good tackles and blocks.

Reiah-Fall 2011

Reiah had a Hawaiian birthday party with cousins and a few friends. We had tropical smoothies and island cupcakes. The girls made leis, hula hooped and played ALOHA volleyball. She did a great job in jr. high volleyball, improving steadily and being a positive influence on her team. She loves going to YW now and is very excited to do baptisms at the temple this Saturday.
